In April 2026, the 3rd Social PPP Forum, held in São Paulo, Brazil, brought together public and private sector leaders to discuss sustainability in social infrastructure and public-private partnerships (PPPs), including a special award ceremony recognising the country's first FAST-Infra Label projets.

Sustainability in infrastructure and PPPs

As part of the forum, FAST-Infra participated in a panel discussion focused on sustainability in infrastructure, with particular attention to PPPs. The discussion brought together participants to exchange perspectives on this topic.

The session closed on a high note: an award ceremony honouring the first Brazilian projects to earn the FAST-Infra Self-Assessed Label. Representatives from each project took home a commemorative trophy marking the achievement and their commitment to internationally recognised standards in sustainability, governance, and resilience.

The projects awarded were:

• Line 6 Metro São Paulo (Orange Line)  
• PPP for the Regional Hospital of Mato Grosso do Sul
• PPP Lote Ouro Preto - Minas Gerais (Via Liberdade)
• PPP New State Hospital in Viamão - Rio Grande do Sul
• Órigo Energia - Solar Portfolio, Mato Grosso do Sul

Supporting sustainable infrastructure in Brazil

This is a real milestone for the FAST-Infra Label in Brazil, a country now among the top three countries globally in terms of FAST-Infra Label adoption by project CAPEX.

The FAST-Infra Self-Assessed Label is the entry level of the FAST-Infra Label and is awarded to projects that demonstrate compliance with the Label's requirements. Projects awarded the Self-Assessed Label are strongly encouraged to organise verification by an independent reviewer to strengthen the credibility of their sustainability and resilience assessment and increase market confidence.
